King Street Major

The KS Major is basically the normal King Street with an extra 50 Watt channel. There are 2 inputs, one 15 Watt, the other 50 Watts. There are switches on the back to scale both of these down by 1/2 and 1/4.
The 15 Watt channel is class A, giving a very specific overdrive if you crank the master up. I'd say it compresses a bit more than the 50 Watt side and makes for a more liquid lead tone. There is quite a lot of overdrive to be had, but not high-gain as it is known today. The cleans on this side are fabulous, with an amazing 3D shimmer that sounds almost like reverb.
The 50 Watt section is Class AB and provides a whole lot of classic rock tone. It is very loud, but can be used at rehearsal volumes with the Master volume controls. This side has the shimmering cleans too, but less so than the 15 Watt section.
Overall this amp gives tone eminently suitable for anything from balls-to-the-wall Rock over Blues to very clean Jazz. The tone has just the right amount of bite without ever becoming harsh.
It has a voice control, Texture control, treble/mid/bass, overdrive/gain, and 2 masters. Voice/Gain/Master on the footswitch.
